I’ve spoken on this many times, and my EGO 650 CFM blower assessment remains the same. It’s super-powerful, but it’s so harsh when it comes to sound. It’s very shrill. You can certainly overcome this with ear protection, but I have sensitive hearing and would rather dry my car with the EGO 580. I speak briefly about the 650 in my GT4 Wash and Talk video.
Looking past the piercing sound, I can definitely say this blower dries the surface of your car fast. Before the 765 model was released, the 650 was the most powerful blower EGO had in their catalog. It has air speeds of 180 MPH, which is more than we need for the car drying process, but overkill is what we do here at OG.
The 650 has the all-new lock-on speed control dial to adjust your speed from 250 CFM to 500 CFM. I usually crank the speeds up to full 650 CFM with the turbo button conveniently located on the top of the blower’s handle. It blows water off crazy fast, especially on a ceramic coated car.
Like most of EGO’s other blowers, this model has a high-efficient brushless motor that delivers longer run times, low vibrations, and an extended motor life.
You can get the blower by itself or the blower kit that includes a 5.0 Ah battery and EGO’s standard charger. It also comes with a flat and tapered nozzle. I’d suggest you add in a stubby nozzle and blower band to make it legit.
